Snow and Tree Trunk
This is another one of the photos that I bagged in my hunt yesterday after we finally got some snow.

This is kind of busy, although I am guilty of shots just like this. Try cropping just below the lower limb that cuts across the image, I think that would work well. I wonder if you have any other shots with the snow covered limbs and that particular sky - which I like a lot.

Re: Snow and Tree Trunk
Busy doesn't have to be bad. Nature can be like that.
I don't think it would help to simply crop off the diagonal branch in the bottom half of the photo because you would lose too much of the criss-cross pattern that makes the picture. But if you had a chance to take another crack at this tree (if the snow hasn't melted by now), you might want to look for a different viewpoint that moves the offending branch closer to the lower edge and still retains most the glorious chaos.
Just a thought...

Great shot. I like it just the way it is.

Yes I beieve that I do, the shot I took before the one I called Winter Lane, I can not post it until late Thursday or early Friday as the laptop that has it is in getting a new hard drive, it is on the second drive on that laptop. Once I get is I will post, I call that one Little Tree you will see why. Until then.

Thank you, I was playing around with some filters in NIK Colour Efex Pro and came across this effect, I liked it, will not work with alot of shots but I think is works well here. Thanks again
