I really like #2. The blue of the fireworks in this image are a great contrast. I would have liked the far right fireworks fully in frame though. All these images in this set are great though. Nice work and happy new year.

Re: New Years at the Needle.
Rob {Tygart} I would have thought you would have had live coverage on at least one channel. Seems they like to divide the State in two pretty strictly. Well, glad you enjoyed the images.
Rob D. Thank you, I too would have like to have more right side in the frame, but I was lucky as it was to find this spot.

That's understandable since you were probably in one heck of a crowd.

Re: New Years at the Needle.
Acually Rob, after getting there 2 hrs early and finding the crowd so thick I could not get a spot....I left the area and went to the otherside of the hill not known for any view spots. I found many people but was able to find a vantage point from a sidewalk...shooting through someones back yard. Trees on both sides and about 6 inches to spare each side of the tri-pod. I used the 75-300 to get past the trees but had no ability to move and thus clipping the tree on the right. Although I tried to lessen it's distraction and position it in the frame as to allow the best view of the festivities. Turned out to be a good move as the wind blew the smoke in the direction of the first intended vantages.

Re: New Years at the Needle.
Nice shots! I like them all Paul, and if I had to pick just one it would be #1 due to the colors
in the fireworks.
Took a look at your SmugMug page too...very well done..

Re: New Years at the Needle.
Thanks Mike! The page is quite the project, but a fun one.
