That one feels more complete to me but some of the seed pods in the center aren't in focus.
Hi Girish, despite the background issues with this photo I think you've done a great job. Focus is where you want it and the post processing that you've done has worked quite well. I see you've gotten a step by step from Frank and I'm sure as you learn more post processing steps you will be able to take this from a very good shot to excellent, in fact I'd be very interested to see what you are able to do with this shot in another 6 months or so as you pick up on different PP techniques.

Hi Girish,
A bit late in my response to your 3rd week post, but better late than never. Lol
I think the ladies hat looks a bit overdone too me; it looks to vivid on my screen. Do you think a bit more space around her head would be an improvement? Just a little bit tight in the frame I think. Taking these minor criticism's away I do like the feel of the picture.
This is a lady who looks to me, to be very wise and probably has lived a very interesting life. I get the feeling she could tell us all some very interesting stories, if we could sit down and talk to her.
Over all well done.
Hi Wendy...thanks for the comments......am seriously trying to learn PP techniques.......Frank is too good at it.......but am totally new to this and am yet to pick up even the basic things.....but sure will try and do better as time goes by........hope to get comments from one and all......which will help me a lot....thanks
Thanks Kathy for liking the photo.........
You've captured a great moment - no question about that. What are your thoughts on your photo?
I think your photo absolutely captures that relationship. I was more wondering what you thought of how well the photo turned out. For me the mother and child aren't a bit soft. It looks to me as your focus point was elsewhere, as the bottom edge of your photo appears to be sharper than the birds.
Yes, I think I might try a little bit of selective sharpening applied to just the birds; not the background as that already has a little in the way of 'noise'.
In fact, I think I would also try going around the background with a little bit of Blur Brush (perhaps 50% opacity or a little less) to reduce the noise level; which would probably help to give a little more appearance of sharpness to the birds.
An excellent scene though, so worth taking just slightly more effort in editing to get it perfect.
Hi.......Thanks for comments........i agree the focus is 100% not on target........it was a sudden development, as i was focusing elsewhere and took this in a spur of moment.......noticing the movement of young one.....so focus is not sharp.....now post processing an unaware........yet to pick up in the area.......with regular feedback from all of you will help me do it better next time..........

What an ungainly looking bird, Girish. It looks totally the wrong shape for flight.
A bit like the European Heron but better colours.
An excellent photo. Both the whites and blacks are good and well focused.
A really great capture this week Girish. Really well done
Some more great subjects For me these guys aren't quite as sharp as some of your other photos. I'm not sure if it's a focus point issue as some of the foreground looks okay - perhaps a bit more post processing.
There are some hots spots (or lines) along the back and breasts of the birds. They do a nice job of separating the background but for me, I'd try and tone it down a little.
