I think I have gotten it Wendy
I started to think what if, so using my NIK filters, I neturalize the slight blue cast in the snow, then added a gradualated fog filter which I than applied with a brush back in photoshop. I then brushed in the fog over the trees and the bales increasing the strenght with each pass, however I lessened the amount that I applied to the Pine tree and the Beech leaves. This gave me more of the feel that I was looking for. What do you think?

Hi Allan, you are the only one who knows how you want the shot to look. From my point of view I would like more warmth and I'd be trying to get the little bit of colour that is in the shot (the bales and the beech leaves) to pop. However, that is my vision, and I was not there, so I am only using my imagination. It's an interesting technique though, and I'm sure it will come in handy for many other shots, so that alone makes it well worth the time spent.
