    26 Half way?

It does not seem that long ago that I started this project... This week I worked with a controlled environment, I set my lighting, locked the camera in on a tripod, and moved the subject around to see if I could make a interesting photo. I have not used my 25mm Leica in quite some time, so I used it for the shots. F2 1/10, ISO 100 for all three. Nice to have a super shallow DOF. Here are my results:

    and two BW's:

In hind sight, the last shot I think had the most potential, but the angle is just off I thing a slight CW rotation would have worked better.

    Thanks
    Ryo

    25 early
I wont have internet access for the next week or two, so I am posting my project early. I dont know what it is, but the wife planted it, it grew, so I took a photo. Several variations on the subject:

Single shot f2.5, ISO 100 1/640 Editing on the first 4 played around with settings on the BW to produce the 3/4. And the last two were crops of the area that I liked most.

    Thanks
    Ryo

I believe that is a Senecio cineraria (or Dusty miller). I like the third rendition best.

Frank, did a google for the Dusty millers that is what it looks like, just a young version. Its pretty cool all the same.

I have been backlogged with photos to edit, so these were taken last week but I am just now getting around to editing them.

A tricky mix of highlights and shadows there, Ryo, but they have worked out well.

Pretty sure that first and third were HDR shots, but thanks, I really like the way they turned out.

    Day early 23 Cogs....

Wanted to get this weeks posting up to allow more time tomorrow to process pics from the car show...

Tonight I worked in a controlled setting, my closet, setting up these fun cogs the wife found for my neice at the Flea market.

Same set of cogs different setups, ranged from using 25mm@f2 to my 14-45@f7.1 and mixed it up with how the cogs were staged. Last shot is focus stacked.

    Thanks

All these were shot in stop and go traffic, it is something that needs to be experienced at least once.

This 3" monster was on my front door yesterday:

Talk about weird, but it was very photogenic... it turned right into the camera and followed my movements with its head.

    Thanks

Still have a lot of editing to do from this evenings adventures. I will have more to come tomorrow, but for this weeks entry I found these very nice reeds while I was out and about shooting this evening:

    Project 52 by Ryo

Took three shots of these, this one turned out best. 25mm f1.8 Manual focus, ISO 100 1/640 Tweaked the colors and brought up the mid tones in levels and curves layer.

    Thanks

Is that a seahorse I see there?

    Re: Project 52 by Ryo

Not seeing the seahorse, but that is one of the best aspects of cloud shots, it the possibilities of things to see..

Edit getting closer to the final I was looking for:

Ryo, the seahorse is in the sky outlined by clouds. it is just right of the ROT line on the left. (in the picture you just posted.)
