Re: Project 52 by Nicola
Nicola, if the other 51 images you're hopefully going to post this year are anywhere near as good as this one then I can't wait to see them! I will be following this thread with a keen interest!

Hi Nicola,
I think you under estimate your abilities; this is very nicely done; good composition and tone mapping.
Looking forward to next week already
Cheers,

I have to agree with Tommy and Dave, it is a great image. I normally don't like HDR but this great.

I agree with other comments. This, I feel, is the application of the HDR technique at its best, to produce a realistic image.

Re: Project 52 by Nicola
Nicola,
without sounding like I'm following the others, this is a lovely picture.
At this rate your 'School report' should make good reading and 'Graduation' should be assured.
Well done, great start.

Undoubtedly agree with Donald here. I generally dislike overdone HDR, but you have nailed it here. An example of how it should be done.
Cant wait for week 2 shot

Re: Project 52 by Nicola
There really isn't anything to say other than it is a fantastic image. The composition, lines, and colour all seem to work for me.

Off to a great start Nicola! That is an impressive image and a very well done HDR. I'm not a big HDR fan myself do to the usually cartoonish look but you nailed it. I'll be interested to see what follows.

Re: Project 52 by Nicola
many thanks to you all!
too gentle guys!
now I'm a bit frightened to post the next image ... it will be not so good as it seems to be this one..
I'm actually pleased that you like my HDR, in my opinion the pictures of landscapes must be as much real as possible, so I use HDR tech to "help" my camera reproduce what my eyes are viewing, not to create brilliant but artificial pictures
thanks again, I will work hard to post other good pictures
cheers
Nicola

Nothing to rave about?
This is the most beautiful photo I've seen in a long time!
I am no good at C&C, I just wanted to say that I love this picture...
The contrast between the polished, geometrical pavement and the raging waves outside...
It's awesome!

Re: Cw02
Nicola - I agree with Vladimir's expression about this being a very good image. A wonderful contrast of elements - the formality of the patio of the ballustraid contrasting with the natural wildness of the sea.
Two points:
- It needs a rotation to level the horizon.
- There are two birds in the sky that I would clone out.
