Dont Go In The Water
I took this one today when the kids where swimming in the Currumbin Rock Pools. The water was freezing, but it was such a hot day, and they desperately wanted to go in, and then someone mentioned there were Eels in the Pools and I captured the shot whilst they were checking for Eels
Feedback welcome as always

I love it! It does have a very ominous feel with that lighting and B&W conversion like something out of an old horror film. Great shot.

Re: Dont Go In The Water
I think the composition is superb. The temptation would have been to make the kids fill a greater proportion of the overall frame. But you've resisted that and, along with the angle from which you have shot this (looking down on the water), we end up with a wonderfully balanced composition.
The light on the heads and bodies is wonderful.
The B & W conversion is excellent. And the clever use of the vignette makes a channel to direct our gaze through to the back of the scene.
High quality work.

Thank you both so much I was filled with a little trepidation posting the pic, and did wait for hubby to get home to run it by him first! Just another lesson to learn - confidence in ones abilities

All I had to say about it when I got home was "That's awesome!"
