I like #1 the best but I partial to B&W anyway. Both are very good.

Both lovely shots as usual. Do the eyes needs a little brightening in the second shot? (just sayin' what everyone says to me ) I think the second one might make a nice sepia or black and white as well.

Yup. You can see it... That first love thing. Both speak and are really really good. I would agree with Malcolm on the eyes in the second but that is a remarkably small nit. His left thumb in the second shot looks like it was moving a little as well.

Love No 1, they are photos I'm sure your daughter and her beloved will definitely cherish. Is Lottie "The Girl with the Pearl Earring"? Stunning girl, you must be a proud mamma

Absolutely lovely image of a beautiful young woman. I am sure that they will cherish the image if their relationshp advanced and smile at their love.
And by the way, I still remember my first love. Not with longing but with tenderness. I wonder what ever came of her!

Re: Loves young dream
Definitely good photos Joanne.
Is beloved slightly out of focus in the first one? A halo there?
I'm on my iPod so I could be wrong.
I don't care for the faux blur in the second, though many like this effect.
I'm being picky based on your past successes with portraits
