Practicing with flash

I prefer natural lighting, but I can't always do it with kiddos when I have to have higher shutter speeds, so I had a friend that let me come over to her in-home daycare this morning and practice.

C&C Welcome & appreciated.

My own C&C is that I want the catch lights higher in her eyes.

That looks pretty good to me - the flash isn't too overpowering and hits your subject's face in a way that doesn't make it look flat. I agree with you on the eyes although did you try and brighten them up with some post processing? I think ideally I also would have liked to have seen a bit more light hitting the hair to capture that detail as well.
