    Absolutely, you can't predict it and in this shot, at that distance/brightness, at least you get to see the branches much better, whereas in the 5km away one, they are barely noticeable.

    The other good thing about yours (compared to many I've seen) is the rain free lens is not degrading the image.

    Very nice Wayne, can't think of any significant improvement suggestions.

    I think you're lucky to have the opportunity so easily/regularly, although I don't doubt it has its downside too.

    thanks Dave, I was thinking last week that we don't have the architecture and depth of history here as I looked through the members wonderful photo's , but everywhere has something to photograph. The lightning season will end in the next few days as the monsoon sets in which is why I have been busy enjoying it. Do the rocks in the foreground look OK? I reduced the shadow to try and add to the foreground.

    Yes I think so, they're not very sharp, but if they were, there's a big risk they would overpower the scene and distract, or look 'stuck on top'.

    Their brightness is 'just right'.
