I'm really a minority here, but I still won't save the boxes - I have a filing cabinet where I store user manuals, warranties, original invoices and CD's. If I need to send an item for service, I take it to the UPS store because they have appropriate boxes for shipping.
So, again, why would I clutter my garage or attic with a load of empty cardboard boxes, when they can be recycled?

Ive been wondering about this because Ive seen on other photo forums people put such importance on the original box as if it will increase the resale value of the photo equipment they are selling to the point where some have mentioned… the box itself is worth something… they call it "the white box" as if that makes it better than a brown box.

Im more inclined to recycle the packaging, file the manuals and put all the camera accessories Im not using in a container that holds that stuff… but I held on to my last purchase, the box for the 70-300 L lens- more out of confusion whether I should keep it or not until I get a better answer!
