I don't' know how concerned you are with the time on the watch, but normally when photographed the hands are at the 10 and 2. You will find this on many clocks that are seen in the movies as well. But never at the 4 and 8 position. Just a thought. Otherwise I would go for #2 as well. Just that pesky reflection.

So Dave - you were right. The reflection was behind me - the window and the blinds! In this version I reduced the lighting in the room to try and minimise the reflection on the watch face - which caused the whole white balance and lighting on the piano to be thrown out! I also had a diffusing reflector in front of the watch face to block the window.

I think it's better - but still not 100% - and I lost the perspective in this version too.

Coming into this post a little late, but judging by the first two, I think you might have accomplished your task! At least getting the reflection off the watch face. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm interested to find out what it is that you don't like about this last one or what it is that you think might have made it better? Very nice photo in my opinion

I think I prefer the persepective of #2 but eliminating all hotspots and reflections of the watch face and the piano made this whole execise rather time consuming so I was content to leave the perspective of #3 where it was.
