Back to Yellowstone
Revisted one of the images I took back in May of 2010, it was this road trip that started me back in photography. The orginal was rather flat, I just wanted to see if I could improve on the capture. All C&C welcome that is one way to learn, the other is to learn all the different ways that didn't work.

Re: Back to Yellowstone
Allan,
I am not educated enough to give any advice on what could be done to make this photo better . . . but what I can tell you is that I love Yellowstone, I have not been there for years and would love to go back and looking at your photo makes me feel as though I am there! I think that says alot about your photo! Love the photo I think it captures the mood very well!

Re: Back to Yellowstone
I like it a lot.
The composition and the exposure are both very good. It's been sharpened very well and has good 'pop'.
And I think the sky is super.
You say the original was 'rather flat'. That would be expected if you shot it in RAW - which is what I'm assuming. Or are you meaning you shot a JPEG and you've done some more pp to that?

Re: Back to Yellowstone
Hi Allan,
great shot, looks even better when viewed 'large'.
Well done, I'll have to save up and make a visit myself.
