My name is Steve Schaefer. Originaly from Washington DC now living on the North Shore of Oahu. I have always had a passion for making photgraphs. But not until a battle with cancer and a divorce after 27 years of marraige I have made photography a healing process.
I hope to one day to become as talanted as many of you on the site.

Welcome Steve. I've found that photography really helps to slow me down and notice a lot of details in life that I've previously ignored. It's a great way to reflect while you practice your craft. I think you've found the right hobby and a supportive group in Cambridge to help your healing.
