Oh I love these little birds! I only see them occasionally around here. These are great images! The second one is my favorite...I think because of the clarity.

Hey Bobo nice shots I like the pose in 4 best I like the bird looking into the pic and one branch clear and not a lot of confusion around your subject I will add a chickadee I have been playing with hope you dont mind .

#2 very good, like the light and sharpness, love the way he's?she's all puffed up, just a shame about the branch cutting across the lower left. Agree with James the pose in #4 is well captured.
By the way I think the name chikadee is great, does it originate from the call the bird makes?

You are correct about it being named after its call.

They are not all that difficult to photograph but do move about very quickly and due to that it is quite difficult to get them clear of any obstructions. Best one can hope for especially in a tree like this one that most of it is clear.

Some from last summer. Note how much smaller they are without the feathers puffed to keep the cold at bay.

Chickadees are very common around here. I think that is why I like your last shot best, it is just a little bit off of the normal pose you see them in, and is very clear to boot.
