Convert CMYK Illustrator file to RGB for inkjet printing
I am trying to print graphics for a corporate client which were created in Illustrator in a CMYK colour space. As I have an inkjet printer, the file needs to be in RGB. I did a conversion in Photoshop and immediately noticed banding on screen, which translated to banding in the print (who knew?!). The colours are fine.
I have asked the client to re-export the file to a psd file in Illustrator and at that time convert to RGB. Maybe that will help.
In the meantime, any ideas as to how to deal with this? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Convert CMYK Illustrator file to RGB for inkjet printing
Just a thought: I'd try converting to 16-bit mode before converting to RGB...
