Old school photo duplicate
My step-dad has been on the phone to ask.....
His friend has an old school photo, the kind from the late 40's/50's. The long ones where they got the whole school in it (300 plus people).
Is there anywhere that still does this sort of thing, or how would he go about getting a copy made?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Old school photo duplicate
What size is it, and can it be removed from it's frame & mount?

Re: Old school photo duplicate
I have been told it's about 24inches long and it could be removed.

Re: Old school photo duplicate
My idea was to scan it in sections, and rejoin the in Photoshop, or other editing program. It's easier than it sounds!

Re: Old school photo duplicate
My idea was to take pictures and stitch them together, but neither my step-dad or his friend would know how to do that. What with him living 600 miles away I can't nip around either to have a look lol

Re: Old school photo duplicate
I have scanned old large documents and stitched together but I agree that this is something of a specialist technique.
Just a thought though, is there anywhere locally which does large laser copying?
Shop, photo developer or possibly the local printer (general paper printer). Many printers do a lot of their work with laser printers now and could probably cope with this size. Try offering CIH payment.
