I think it's a very good shot. The rule-of-thirds principle has been applied well in the composition of the final image. I think the exposure has been handled very well, giving the image a real mood and atmosphere. That top of that 'thing' (technical term) on top of the post just sits nicely on the line between the water and the land - gives a nice balance that wouldn't have existed if it was intruding half-way up the hillside.
Nice one, Adam.
That will be a Groyne Marker, stops boats crashing into the groyne at high tide.
Thanks for the critique, i feel well chuffed.
Hi Adam,
Yes I like it too - this has to be viewed full size to be fully appreciated.
Well done,
"That top of that 'thing' (technical term) on top of the post"... "That will be a Groyne Marker, stops boats crashing into the groyne at high tide."
I think when boats start crashing into the groin, it's high time to get out of the water. (Sorry, I don't know why my mind keeps doing stuff like this.)
Great shot, though. I'm glad you kept a safe distance from the water and those killer boats.
Excellent picture. I would be very impressed with myself if it were mine!
