Beautiful detail, interesting color. Would be interested in your EXIF data, and did you adjust color in pp?

Very nicely done. Nice lens, I'm sure that helped a lot.
Hi George........real nice shot of moon....good details......like it
Well done indeed, George.
I've put an 'astrophotography' tag on the thread so that anyone going in there will see along with others and discussions on shooting the moon and the stars.
Excellent detail, well done.
Hi George,
This is a good exposure and plenty of sharp detail, as has been said.
I hate to be a lone voice of criticism, but when viewed at 100%, I am concerned by the saturated reds and cyans/greens I see, especially on the terminator (shadow edge) on right. I'm not sure if the cause was noise (shouldn't be too bad at 100 iso) or if the noise, plus possibly some lateral chromatic abberation, has been made significantly worse by the saturation, contrast enhancements and sharpening applied.
Have you any ideas?
Was it shot RAW?
That said, it is waaaay better than anything I have shot (with 300mm).
So well done,
300 can get some decently reasonable shots. But with a 500 super shots.

Man that sigma really reaches out there doesnt it? beautiful in detail , do you shoot birds with that lense, cause if so I would love to see the results. great shot !
You're not alone in your thoughts Dave, as I too see the same issues. I've run into this
on some of my Moon pics when adjustments are made to reduce the CA fringing.
Nice detail in the shot, but I wonder how it would look with the sharpening and contrast
backed off just a bit.
