The competition is very tough this month there are some superb images. I will stay with my simple theme (no cracks) Team Canon - EOS450 D

Jim ... I bet a bunny and you raise me a squirrel? I see how its gonna be ... hehe

So the 100-400 you have, is it the push pull zoom L lens?

    I should have raised ya 2 squirrels,but I'm a conservative gambler
Yes it's a push pull zoom.I really like that feature. It actually is easier for me than the twist zooms.I find myself hunting at times for the focus ring on my 70-200 if I'm a bit rushed for a shot.Nice bunny shot BTW.

Jim, have you ever tried to make portraits with this lens at 400 ?
Which cam are you using ? Crop factor 1.6 ?

I am a f/2,8 lover but I see that this lens is quite good.
Any how I had already seen some pictures with it and the quality is really nice.
What I like most is the shallow DOF and the bokeh.

    Hi Antonio,

I'm really new to photography and I haven't tried portrature yet,so I can't give an opinion.I'm shooting a 50D 1.6X crop. It's a wonderful lens, but the 5.6 max aperture at the long end needs good light. For a long lens it's easy to handhold.I have a 300 f/4 and they are very close in weight.
    Regards,
    Jim

Oh the 300 f4L IS nice lens ... I've read some really good reviews on it - its even sharper than the 400 5.6. Its going to be my next lens purchase I think.

    Better get the 300mm f/2,8
The problem is the money needed to buy it
