I'm in the process of arranging a martial arts shoot for my local camera club (Toronto Digital Photography Club). It's something a little different.
As a precursor to the shoot (end of March) I arranged to get a few minutes (less than 10) for a promo shoot (to present to the camera club).
So, quality isn't great as I had an off camera flash (umbrella) for some shots, and I used high ISO(12,800) to get some rapid fire shots. Not ideal, but as a quickie - pretty much all I could do.
Available lighting was horrendous (mainly flourescent with some tungsten in the odd corner).
The head instructor is in his 70's.
On the day of the shoot, I expect to have a couple of studio flashes, and a second stage where people can use their own flash guns with umbrella (optional).
I reckon 2 hours, 15 people. For no charge, that's not bad.
