Re: Final waltz
Beautifully lit and each is a lovely composition.
The one thing that irritates me is the bottom right of the third image. There's something (a leaf?) overlaying the stem. Where it obliterates the stem, that's fine. It's just above that where it creates a sort-of ghostly appearance with the stem partly visible that seems to catch my eye and pulls attention away from the rest of the image.
Other than that, I really like these.

Re: Final waltz
Again a superb series of flower pics.
Sharon - may I bug you a bit. I will be going to a flowershow early next month. Have not one idea what to do. Any pointers/tips?
Thanks.

Re: Final waltz
Thank you Nat, James and Bobo
Bobo, I am really flattered that you think I could proffer any advice. All I can say is decide what appeals to you, is it colour or line? Documentation or mood?
I like line and mood so tend to isolate my flowers on a plain background and concentrate on lighting but at a flower show you would find this difficult so would probably succeed better with filling the frame and going for colour impact.

Re: Final waltz
Thanks Sharon.
Have been to flower shows but never with a camera. First time to this one so unsure what it is like.
It runs for 3 days so should have plenty of opportunity from fresh to dead.
