I would say so!
Love your portraits Antonio. Good use of DOF.
Yet another highly accomplished image. This, like so many others by Antonio, deserves the label 'social documentary' as much if not more than 'portrait'. They are so informative.
Donalds nailed it, there is a scene here as well as a great portrait. You have captured the man a his place so well. Inspiring photography.
"Social documentary" there Donald. You are right. What a title for a theme. Great. Thank you. I think I will adopt that I you allow me to
Thank you all for the kind words. Indeed I do have many portraits that I don't know even of
I am digging in time to fetch them, now that I can work better in Photoshop.
Meanwhile here is a version I like best.
and smaller, side by side
Ola Patricio, tudo bom, contigo? ...lol... This photo made by you is absolutely stunning and considering that I live in a city so rich in images as NYC, it really inspired me to go out there, with camera in hand and try to capture "social documentary" photos (I loved that description) and hopefully as good as yours. Excellent work! It really is exhibit worthy!!!
I'm with Donald... that's also my main hang up when it comes to photographing strangers... I see so many great shots in the streets of NYC but I always feel kinda unconfortable to simply point and shoot and have a bad reaction from them. So, I've been trying to increase my skills in just "steal" that moment that happens maybe only once.
Thank you Mal
What, no flies? LOL
Good shot.
