Concerning the Chrysler...I am going to have to rework the photos I had taken last week because when I went back this week it was gone.
I cant stress the importance of good post production techniques. It really is a world of difference. If you look at any of my pics that I have posted 99% have had major to huge overhauls in PP. From time to time, like this example I posted the ACR corrected and the final product. I think is makes a statement that I am far better with CS5 than the camera!
I do hate that!! They should have just left it there for more photos!! :D I hope you can get a second round at it.
Always looking forward to your next posts!
Ryo

Out having a bit of fun with the 28mm, it really is a sharp lens; It doesnt seem to like the outdoors as much as my kit 14-42. But these were taking when the sun was at its height.
Thanks
Ryo
I'm not really much of a 'car buff', but these are another pair of really good images. The first one in particular is a perfect location shot. The whole thing is beautifully composed, the lighting is great, the exposure across the whole image is on the nail and the setting (grass, trees, sky) balances it all up so well.
Donald, Its interesting that you mention the lighting on the first shot. This is a sudo HDR shot. Some of the limitations of overhead sun/ natural mid day light is that a camera cannot capture the range. So rather than focus on the short comings of the camera, I shot one at 0/0 EV and the second at +6.
Taking this:

And this:

I over-layed the images and then masked out all the back ground on the +6 image leaving only the side of the car. From there, I merged both layers and went about normal workflow of setting the levels and cleaning things up a bit to the finished product!
Thanks
Ryo
In that case it's an even better bit of work. It looks really good.
Ryo, I had a feeling that you didn't just take the one picture to get the end result of the "Sleeper". Nicely done.
Some day, but not any time soon, I will have to dive into the PP deep end and see if I can swim my way through it or if I will have to be saved by a pro.
Donald; It goes a long way when people notice your efforts, thank you! On a side note we are culminating the Project52's any thoughts on a sticky for " A year in photography" A quick review of what the participants have learned and developed?
Jon I am by no means a pro, but you can have my assistance any time. I have done a lot of self study (youtube videos) and the more I learn, the more I have to explore! Thank you BTW.

There will be more to come this summer when the sun is higher at mid-day! I am working on mock up using internet found images to help with the scouting of locations.
Thanks

Not much this week, I forgot my camera at the house for Coffee and Cars... But this beauty caught my eye earlier this evening:

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday season as much as I did! Happy New Year, and good luck with all your images.
Got out to coffee and cars at a new location, and an S1 Roadster:

I am really happy with my Canon FD 100mm f2.8 it does really well!
Thanks
Ryo
I am not familiar with the S1 roadster but that is one wicked looking ride. I'm afraid I would look like Grape Ape driving it though...if I even fit in it! Great angle on 2nd & 3rd shot.
Going/Gone organic, the ultimate greenies car!

Ken I do like me a Eco-car; is it a the new Volvo environmental concept? :D
Ryo

@ Jon I think you would fit, the owner is 6'1 the seats are on the floor of it, and he is still behind the wind screen!
@ Frank, I have always followed your P52 just to see what things you are trying, and see if there is something applicable to what I am working with; More often than not, I find we are on the same path! I thank you for your kind words and encouragement!
@ Yegor, tractors are always welcome, and what a beauty! The range on this shot is phenomenal!! There is so much detail that you have captured at f6.3 with that K-5. This shot almost looks HDR? Have you considered something more muted?

Again working with a Canon FD 100mm and a oly OM 35mm I cant say enough about having these lenses, they were relatively inexpensive and work great!
Thanks
Ryo
Thought you might enjoy this - ran across it at Wheels Through Time - a museum of antique motorcycles and cars in Maggie Valley, NC.
