All of these shots were taken for a friends website. In between taking stock pictures, I was able to do some abstract and creative images.
Some of the subjects were extremely cooperative and didnt move an inch. Others were constantly moving and were difficult to get some nice macro shots.
From now on, I will be doing this on a semi consistent basis, so any time I have some good shots, Ill share with everyone

I'm not sure. I don't know much about the snakes. I know that some snakes were cross bred several times to get specific colors and patterns.

The setup was a 3' x 3' folding table, a black felt.and white felt background and 2 lights on on the opposite sides of the table. There was a lot of trial and error to figure out what was the best lighting setup to use and which lenses to use. Surprisingly my 24-70 lens didn't work well, but the 50 mm 1.8 and 100 mm macro lens did the job nicely.
We tried using flash and light tents but that threw off the color of the snakes off some.
