    Another from the mkii

Color contrast and saturation are alot different from the 40d. Not bad, just different. Need to adjust my edits a little more. Here is one from today.....................

Very neat shot... However on my monitor, it looks a bit oversharpened. Was this a heavy crop?

No, it wasn't cropped very much at all. ( Down to a 4:3) Did you zoom into the larger size?

    Hi Steve,

I think I see what Richard is talking about - I have looked at the larger size by clicking the image.

In the distant (fainter) trees it is noticeable as odd pixels that have gone to a much darker or lighter tone than the atmospheric conditions suggest is possible, so odd bits of branch 'turn on' to being dark, then off again a bit further along. Similarly, there are odd bright pixels. But you do have to pixel peep to see it.

Also the grass has an almost gritty texture to it.

If you uploaded to Photobucket at a larger size, but posted their auto-generated 1024 size here, that might explain it. (it was a big "if" in case this wasn't the case)

    Nice scene and composition.

What a lovely scene, Steve. When did you switch from your 40D? Are you using the same lens or did you buy new? Lucky you!

Thanks dave, just need to make a few adjustments to my edits.

Thanks myra, i didn't switch from my 40d, i just added another camera body. I have been loosing alot of shots due to switching lenses. Now i can keep a telephoto lens on one camera and a 85mm on the other. (no more lost shots.) I still use all the same lenses from before. This is a 1dmkii (8mp) not a 5dmkii(21mp).

Looks like you are having a good time with your new sidekick. I always like your deer images...so, no surprise there.
