I do like Kestrels but I am not used to seeing them in the snow. The Australian Kestral has similar colouring but not the spost on the chest. Thanks for posting.

@Peter Ryan, They are all over here in Utah, year round. Beautiful little birds. I'm noticing lately they aren't as skittish as they usually are, probably the cold weather and them filling up on all those field mice. Or maybe I never really paid attention to them. But I'm seeing them everywhere and most of the time they just sit and don't mind.

One of my favourite birds. I have been lucky enough to get some nice close ups in the past. I just need to get out more again.
