    B&W Greenwich University

Here's one that I shot last year up at Greenwich University. I just downloaded the trial of Silver Efex Pro 2 and thought I'd have a play with it on this image.

Let me know what you think!

    Nikon D90 | nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 @ 52mm | f/20 | 1/50 sec | ISO 200

    B&W Greenwich University

    Thanks for viewing

I love this shot. The contrasts, the perspective. Very nice.

Well done, I like this image a lot. The stone and columns are wonderful, but the shadows/vanishing point on the floor are perfect!

Saw this earlier on my work monitor, but wanted to get home to see it properly before commenting. And , yes, compositionally it's as good as I thought it was.

I keep banging on about B & W being about tones, textures, lines and shapes. Well, here's the evidence m'lord!

    Super work, Tommy.

ps - Have fun with SEP2. You won't be able to resist buying it. If you haven't discovered them yet, go into the NIK 'Video on demand' back-catalogue of webinars. Lots of good stuff there about using SEP2.

An excellent subject for B&W with lots going on to look at. The processing has gone too far for my liking but overall a great photo.

Great shot Tommy. So far I've been using Elements for my conversion. You persuaded me to look closely at specialist software. This really is a good shot.

Lovely piece of work. Would be quite wasted in colour. I've been using Silver Efex Pro for a while now and I just love it!

Tommy I am going to guess, fine art with border, and a increase of structure for that image?

Very good work tommy, well done. Has a slight hdr look to it, but not over the top.

Thanks Graham! It was others on here that 'pursuaded' me to take a look at it. Some of the results I see from people using SEP2 are trully amazing. It can do in seconds what would take hours in Photoshop alone.

I think you might be right here Donald!

Thanks Andrew. I know I really should stop listening to Queen, "Don't Stop Me Now" when I'm post processing my images! I got a hold of that 'structure' slider in SEP2 and just got way too excited by it! In all seriousness though, I am guilty of over-processing things, so will try to heed your advice and go for slightly more realistic results in future

Allan, you're right about the structure, but I created the border all by myself I always have the same border.. ...ish!

Thanks again for all your comments
