At least with aircraft, a speed of around 1/200 to 1/300 is a reasonable compromise that usually works.
The alternative is a steady pan with a suitable shutter speed (whatever that happens to be) but certainly not an easy shot. I have seen good results from this method though; but not form me!
Having said that, the basic photography is OK; sharp focus and good exposure.
