A friend of mine and I enrolled in a landscape photography course last November visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks. We had some time after the course finished to drive around the Grand Canyon. One place we ended up 10 minutes before sunset was Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona. We sprinted up and down the hill, through the sand with all our gear and quite by luck witnessed an amazing sunset over this unique landscape. It was an amazing experience. Only after the light faded did I realize how high up over the Colorado we were and how exactly close to the edge we set up our tripods!
