This is a duck I have been trying to capture a good shot of for a long time. On the rare occasion I get close enough, my old lens struggled and gave serious CA along his colors. Since I have had my new lens this is the one and only I have been able to find. Sun behind clouds and in the wrong direction so his colors are not quite as vibrant as I'd like but I love the effect on the water. A pretty good start for my "good Wood Duck" image search, I think. =} C&C always welcome.

Wood ducks have got to be among the most handsome of all the ducks, and
I would love a chance at one. Not sure I've ever seen one on the Skagit.
You're really getting some great lunchtime pics these days....

True Bobo, fear not....I usually eat before actually on the road. Besides, if I ate will driving...it's harder to text. lol Grrr, I drive a lot and people doing these things try and take me out often.
