I'm really starting to like this camera. I really can't explain it, but the shadows and highlights look really natural, without blowing one or the other out. It takes saturation really well.........sharp, but not too sharp and the depth of field it renders is really nice. And i haven't even shot anything in really good light yet.

Thanks bobo, it was with the 1dmkii. The first one was with a 300f/4L wide open and the second was with the 85 f/1.8 at f/8

I am beginning to believe the oft repeated statements about "get better lens", "it's not the camera..." as unproven statements.

A guy I know was pretty frustrated with his 1.4TC on his 7D. He later got a 5Dmk2 and tried the combo again and got a real shock with the quality of pics he started getting.

I'm confused - I viewed the EXIF before I read this, then went back to check; I am seeing two pictures shot with a Canon 40D at 300mm.

I did the same thing, and then realized the white background layer was from a shot with the 40d. The exif is being read from the bottom layer. The actual photos are from the 1dmkii . Top one 300 f/4 and bottom one 85 f/1.8. I also found out they have the same image number as well.
