How about a black and white conversion with some sepia split toning and a different crop:

DOF, Hyperfocal Distance, Distance Scale, Lens.

    Okay. Couldn't resist the challenge.

I don't think it was maybe the best image to try and work with Ana. There is a lot of very similar rock in the foreground, that makes it a bit difficult to really locate the main point of interest; i.e. the bit where we want people to look. But I've tried to make it that sort of little inlet of water, with everything else around being a support to that.

Selective colourisation is something I normally never touch, but I thought it might help this one.

Anyway - it gives you some more ideas to think about as you develop your own vision and style.

ps - And I hope it helps you to see that there certainly was no issue with any part of it being out of focus.

DOF, Hyperfocal Distance, Distance Scale, Lens.

Sorry Donald. I kind of left you hanging out to dry with that one. However the 1:1 crop is a good effort with a subject that doesn't suit the ratio.

Thanks a lot guys. . You've helped me a lot. I'am having also an idea.

Like mini-competitions, maybe, i say maybe, we could do a competition called "Process This". It's simple. A user posts an original Raw file, un-processed, and others process it for a period of time. At the end of the period, the user that posted the RAW file, chooses a winner .

I don't know, i was just saying. My subject was not interesting, but stimulated to creativity :Pp.

Anyway thanks, now i can continue my developing in photography. Thank you: Herbert, LeoLeo, Donald, Turgay, JonathanC, Russellsnr!
