Think - welcome to CiC.
Viewing these images, my first thought (with a couple of big "if"s) was that - if it was during the day time, and if you were trying to depict the natural (realistic) views, I would expect to see whiter snow and brighter scenes due to the light reflected by the snow.

Hi Think,
Allways when you are shooting snow, compensate exposure with at least +1, to get the "white snow". I like the ideea from the first picture, the trail with the corridor of trees. I don't get the second one. I can see the "line of trees, with that Y shape of branches", but that's it
, I can't see the tree because of the forest .
If you have the possibility, try to redo the photos in location, see if you can catch a different angle... maybe a different light ?

But I rather like the idea of the second image being a bit dark and sombre.
