Love it !!
Great shot. I really love seeing great form and color from very common objects presented and shown with creatively. How's you get the black background and the lighting set for the photo?
But Terry, I'm an engineer and I feel cheated, betrayed and disappointed!
I s'pose it's alright
Hrrmmph!
I apologize, Dave! I have three tools in my belt. A hammer, a bigger hammer and this! If the former two don't work, then I fall back to the third tool, aka Plan "C"! Plan "C" ALWAYS works! But Terry, I'm an engineer and I feel cheated, betrayed and disappointed!
Hi Roger! How's you get the black background and the lighting set for the photo?
I have a glass-top table. I took a black piece of poster board and cut a hole in it to fit the cocktail glass and nuked it from below through the glass top table. That worked nicely and got me on the way. It traveled through the drink glass and blew out the rim of the glass producing a nice white circular outline. But I found I needed a bit of "fill" so I gave it a bit to try to bring out the orange peel (and provide some specular) from directly above. The glass is actually full of straight orange juice so as not to dilute the orange color. I added the "sweetener" after I thought I got something usable!
Looks good. I hope it also did taste well. :-)
