I struggled with trying to take some decent shots of this seed pod, but the sun, the wind all conspire against you. So I brought it home, put a black sheet behind it, used the light from the window, put a piece of aluminum foil behind to reflect light to the back of the pod and had a go at it. It is such a dainty seed......
OOOOOPS, this was a thistle seedling....similar kind of fluff, though. LOL!
Next fall, I will bring some more home and try to shoot them again!

Really nice Nat, all of them.
Favourite is the first one. But I do see some loose threads left (1/3 way up) and a couple of lighter blurry bits along the bottom. Cleaning those up would add a point to an already great pic.

Oh, I see more than that. I am looking at them on my laptop...obviously, my main monitor is set too dark.... I always wondered how my edits looked on everyone elses...back to the drawing board. I didn't have enough black as shot, so I expanded the canvas, and I can see that on my laptop monitor....but not on my desktop monitor.
