I am going to bite. What do you mean by the term a "hang-on-wall"?
Allan
i meant a photo to hang on the wall ?
That is what I thought you wanted, now for more info, as we can only give you advise that would be usefull, with out it, such as what size, 4 x 6 or maybe 40 x 60 maybe? Are you printing it or someone else, what kind of files, what is size of file. Please give as much info as possible.
Allan
P.S. most of us do not speak tweet.
Sorry about that but i dont really speak "tweet". Im not a native English speaker so please forgive my poor English.
About the photo : Im still not sure what size it should be. I tend to bring it to somewhere to print it as i cant do it myself. Ive never done it before so i have no experience about this. The photo is the RAW file.
The size of the print is determined by the size of the space it's going to be hanging in![]()
Yes i know that but i meant im not sure how big it should be. It should be a normal size. What is your suggestions?
PS: Thank you all for spending time![]()
Hello Đức Anh,
I don't think that there is any such thing as a "normal" size print. For some, "normal" is post card size (6 x 4 inches) whereas I normally don't print anything smaller than 22" wide. Perhaps have a look round - find another framed print whos size that you like - and measure it.
Does it really have to hang on the wall? Could it simply be tilted against and lying on the floor. How about on an easel? If your brother wants something on the wall, think about the photographs placement, how the viewer or your brother's guests will see the photo. A very small photograph with lots of detail hanging over a couch will not be very thoughtful. Then again a very large photograph that has to be mounted could be just as much of a strain.
I would suggest that you go into a shop/store that sells photo frames. Look at these and decide which would be the best size for the wall space where you think the photograph will be hung.
Then you need to look for somewhere to get it printed. You can do a search on the internet for photo-printing services.
If I understand this question correctly, the image is currently a Raw file.
Has it also been converted to a 'standard' format and any editing tweaks performed with it; or failing that are there any NZ photo printers which operate in Raw?
Certainly a good case for having a chat with a local printer I would think.
I am not sure if this is applicable for NZ, but this site will make the print and send it to you. You send them the file.
