Re: A day in the life of .....
I like number 2 or 3
I feel they show him in action against the other team a little better than the other photos.

The first one is my pick. The focus is spot-on and there is energy/movement in the image.

Number 2 for me.
Although the others are sharper, the movement in this one work better in the context of this group of shots.
Well done.

Re: A day in the life of .....
Try some of these shots with a horizontal format as it will allow you to center the subject and crop according to the action and not to the frame. With each of these, there is no room for the player to "look out" of the action as they are right up against the left side of the frame and in each shot. The "back side" room isn't doing anything to assist in pulling them back into the frame and should go, though in this case, you would have very tall and narrow photos.

Re: A day in the life of .....
I'm terrible at selecting just one shot, Cheryl. In fact I produced some 'score sheets' for use on my photos. I had 4 categories of requirements and gave a score between 1 & 5 in each category then added up the totals. But I still often end up with 2 or 3 images with equal scores. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/rolleyes.png)
However, in this case my thoughts are:
#1. A good shot and with the ball 'in play' but he is looking a bit downward and the other players seem to be running in a different direction.
#2. A good action shot with running and swerving action; but he is holding the ball.
#3. Good action shot of the ball but he is looking downward; and it rather appears that his elbow has made questionable contact with the opposing player. ![Big Grin](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/biggrin.png)
#4. Good action shot of the ball but he is looking in the wrong direction.
So from that, I would choose #2 as my best pick, but with #3 close behind.

Re: A day in the life of .....
I agree with #1 being the best.
How would anyone pick #2 as it clearly captures shows him traveling!?

Re: A day in the life of .....
#1 for sharpness, #2 and #3 for action, although I think the focus is a bit off which is why he isn't as sharp as in #1. #4 is also sharp but I think he's caught in a bit of an awkward pose.
