Baboon and flowers
During the rains the bush comes to life and this baboon made an excellent subject walking through a mass of flowers.

That is very good. Wonderfully seen and captured.
It's a moot point, but, again (as with the Male Lion) I wonder if either very slight Local Contrast Enhacement on the coat of the animal benefit the quality of the image? Or maybe it shouldn't be made to 'pop' out from its surroundings and be allowed to blend in more thus emphasising the point about it being in its natural environment. And that is all a matter of interpretation

Re: Baboon and flowers
Hi Donald, point taken and I will look at it, funny enough I was mainly concentrating on the flowers and seemed to ignore the main subject

It's a real eye-teaser, this one. The flowers at the same plane of focus as the baboon, appear to be sharper than the animal. See the flowers nearest the tail and the paw etc... ? Is it just me?

Re: Baboon and flowers
My eye says the focal plane is about 3' behind said critter.
However, a local contrast and local sharpening should be able to make the wee beastie pop.
Beautiful location and setting however.
