Gorgeous.
May I make a suggestion for you to consider? A 5:4 ratio crop that places the horizon right on the top 'thirds' horizontal and crops to just the edge of that bird 2nd from the left over on the right hand side. I don't think it needs those two birds that are over at that side, nor the extra beach and water that goes with them.
Nope - I think you're right! Thanks for the advice!
And it now fits a 10" x 8" frame that you can buy in any High Street store for all the copies that are going to be sent out to family members.
Sounds good to me! That will keep me busy for a little while...
The original was good, but the new crop does the trick. Very nice image Andrew. Well done!

Thanks Toņo! I'm quite happy with it myself.... Thanks to Donald's keen eye!
Looks great to me.
If it were my photo I would try leveling the horizon and clone out the 'thing' on the kid's left shoulder.
Hey Brian, thanks for the advice, and comments! Want to know something funny? I think somehow, the horizon is being captured by an optical illusion of some kind - I've opened it in LR and CS5, and it's level.
Interestingly enough, if I view it against a solid black background, it looks level, as soon as there are outside interruptions though, it sure looks like the left side is high.
Any suggestions?? I thought maybe I was loosing my mind.
That is interesting! Then I have no further suggestions
Looks good.
Looks great - especially after the crop![]()
