Sara, you might want to go back and study the help thread on posting images, so that yours get posted inline as opposed to just as thumbnails. You'll see I've posted it, as I did with your previous one, into your message so that people see it at a better size.
The thread you need to look at is here and I think there is just one step at the end of the process that you need to complete. If you have any queries about this, please do ask. Dave (Humphries) is the expert on this and I would ask him to help if your emain unclerar about what to do.
As to this image, I think it is a good composition. You have managed to achieve a good, relaxed pose, which brings out the character of the person. I am not so keen on images that are tone-mapped to this degree, but that is purely a matter of personal taste and not a comment on the technical quality of the image.
OoooH ... Again Yes i have to study well
I am going just to try something:

Regarding the photo ... thank you so much for ur comment ... many people didn't like the editing because thet found it so much ... may be i have to lower it a little bit
Thank you Donald for you usual support
Hello Dave,
i think i have a problem to post the inline photos ... i can only post it as thumbnails ... Donald said that i have to read and follow the instructions
How to make an attached thumbnail appear larger and inline
- Click the image to make it bigger
- Right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Location" (in Firefox) or "Copy Shortcut" (in IE)
- Click "Edit Post" and position the cursor where you want the image to appear, then use the "Insert Image" icon and Paste (Ctrl+V) the shortcut into the dialog and click "OK"
- Click "Save Changes" button.
- (if you attached more than one image, repeat steps 1-3 for each to get the bigger images inline)
then it just displayed by an a small box with "X" Sign in the last reply ... i don't know where is the problem cuz i can't see the image in the post ... but it is okay with the album and it is ok when someone else make it inline for me
I think this one might be a likely candidate for a mono.
Please accept my apologies, Sara.
What I meant to say was that I think your photograph might look even more stunning as a black & white (monochrome).
Ohh now i understand thank u so much I will try it yes ... Thanks a lot (No need tp apology)
Hello everyone
I need to know ur opinion regarding the B&W Editing .... is it better? what about the cut in his right hand (Fingers)? is there a problem with his eyes?
Thank u in advance
Sara
Although my own preference is normally for B & W, I think this image works better in colour.
There are obviously many approaches we can take to processing our work and, in this case, the approach you took to making the colour image added a 'grittiness' and appropriate 'hardness' to the image.
But then you have taken that same process used to make the colour image and converted it to B & W. I don't think that works sow ell. I think if you has set out to make a B & W image; i.e. if you had made that decsion before you took the photograph, then i think your approach to post-processing might have been different.
In my opinion, it is only very rarely, if ever, that the same treatment we use to make a colour image works for a B & W image (with the addition of removing the colour data).
Thank u Donald,
What about the cut in the fingers ... is it okay?
Thank u so much Donald
I agree with Donald that I like the color version better. There is something about the color and texture in the color version that makes this really interesting to me. The B&W loses this - somehow the subject starts to blend in with the background.
Thank u so much Brian ... I agree with u about the colors ... and thank u for your comment
I like the photo with color... I also like how you captured the detail and textures of his hands.
Sarah, I can only offer an opinion based on my philosophy of processing. The subject is very interesting but the colors seem a little over-photoshopped to me. I use Photoshop to get my photos to look like what I shot, but we may have a difference of taste in this regard. I envy your Egyptian photo ops.
Best,
Doug
