I introduced myself yesterday as a new member, but am not sure it got out there since I haven't seen any response. Perhaps this is normal. This website seems more complicated than Open Salon where I post regularly. I would appreciate it if someone responds to this post to confirm that I'm in the ballpark. Thank you.

Welcome! I am new here also and the folks are very helpful with instructions on images and friendly. Sometimes it takes folks a little time to get around to everything but they will. Time difference across the big pond makes a hugh difference also. Hope you enjoy this forum as I have learned a great deal just by searching through the tutorials and members post, much to learn here.
