I think, Jon this is another case where I would like to crop differently to remove some of the over exposed background and concentrate more on the chief subject. Particularly with the second image. As he 'doesn't have any feet' I would be tempted to raise the bottom edge to just below his hand.
The basic shot of the boy is fine, except for the sunglasses reflections. Sometimes, suitable reflections can work well but I would certainly want to darken these reflections, if not remove them.
Reflections on both sunglasses and ordinary spectacles have caught me out on so many occasions.
