OOOMpfff ! @*&"%$@#* thats my caption. Those cormorants, they can fly and they can swim.... but land and trees are not their most graceful mediums. I find it hard to catch them in moments like this. Did he slip off the perch or miss landing the perch?

He totally missed the landing. I was panning him coming in and he just flat missed it with on foot and got hung up. There was a few more braches in the way that I trimmed which he tumbled through befor he could regain flight. No they are not graceful with those huge web feet when it comes to branches. I am amazed that the spend as much time in them as they do.

Thanks Mal, unfortunately it is a pretty big crop and I did quite a bit to get it this far, it doesn't have much room left. Not bad for a show & tell but that is about it.

Some shots have such great subjects that the technical quality really dosn't matter much at all. I feel that this is one of those shots and I would have been proud to have taken it. Well done, Paul!
