Interesting topic, Antonio.

The issue of domestic violence is one I deal with in a professional capacity, particularly in terms of the impact of domestic violence on children in a household. It is a huge social problem that, to many, is still something they would rather not know about or have to accept exists in our society.

In considering some of the most high risk cases and how we best manage and deal with the situation, the horrific severity and levels of violence perpetrated, overwhelmingly by men against women, does shock you (even someone hardened by many years working in the field of child protection).

I am interested in why you have chosen this topic. Is this part of a project you are undertaking?

This image was conceived - it's my wife and myself in the photo - because I was going to participate in an exposition under the title of "Domestic Violence". The theme looks very interesting and captivating. In fact, I didn't think about violence against children but that is also an issue. I should say a shame not an issue !

For some time I have been thinking to make these theme grow with at least 15 images but I have been distracted by other things. A shame indeed because the theme is very social and can/could have a large impact on society.

This basic idea of the stairs up and down just in the center is great I know. More difficult is to turn this into a real theme and take 15 coherent images.

This violence is in this house completely unknown but I should try, shouldn't I ?

so, today, I only ask.. as you know, violence could be not only phisical but also verbal or brain violence, did you found a way to represent it with a picture?

There was a similar image before indeed but this one is the final.

Difficult job to make other people perceive psychological violence with images. A challenge !
