Mossy Stairs
These stone stairs were built when the public traveled by horse and buggy. They are rarely used now but make an interesting photo subject. Strong, afternoon light gave the stairs, moss and other vegetation interesting textures.

Re: Mossy Stairs
I like it Paul. The light on the mossy walls gives a good contrast with the surrounding ground. An interesting compostion IMO.

Re: Mossy Stairs
Just a thought, Paul.
How about cropping a little from the top and right side so the steps don't actually end. They then appear to 'go on forever' and disappear into the top right corner. That would also remove the distracting trees.

Re: Mossy Stairs
I really like this, Paul... and I think Geoff's suggested crop makes it even better

Re: Mossy Stairs
Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I have some other views I may post later. If you look carefully, the stairs turns 90 degrees at the top and runs up to the crest of the hill. This POV doesn't show that well.

Re: Mossy Stairs
I like what you've done here, the leading lines, the natural borders. I see what the other poster is referring to about cropping the top, it puts the image at a bit of a tilt. I wouldn't lose all of the sky area, just enough to retain the top arm rest of the stairs.
