Old concrete and moss
Here is a closeup of some of the moss and other plant life growing on the old stone and concrete stairs in "Mossy Stairs" I posted yesterday. I like the abstract look, textures and colors. This area is normally shaded during summer but it's currently enjoying full sunshine before the trees get their leaves. The afternoon's strong side-lighting emphasized the shapes and textures.

Re: Old concrete and moss
I like it. It could be abstract art or it could be an aerial photograph (especially when viewed sideways.)

Yes I see what you mean, Jack, an aerial view of treetops.

Re: Old concrete and moss
Hi Paul. I really like this kind of an image but any time I have tried to photograph a real interesting pattern, such as the one you have here, I end up looking for a subject and not finding any place for my eye to rest. In the end, for me at least, even the most interesting patterns could benefit from some kind of a focal point. In this case, perhaps something like a chameleon would add the spark that would take the image beyond just being interesting?
