Hi Phillip - yeah - waves crashing over them did the job nicely

Agreed, although I see the LR3 Beta*is apparently good until next April
This date seemed to apply to non-LR owners too (I hope) - just gotta make room for it on HDD

    (If you don't mind Beta's)

Doesn't help in Kori's case though

Here is my final. I'm happy overall with the picture.
Still missing something because my balance of colors is still off - the mist and majority of rocks now look like I did a black and white version there I changed white balance, temp, and the curves in CMYK Split.
I do like both takes of the picture (Colin's version and my new one).
    Thanks for your help!!!

Wow! What an improvement! I like the cooler and "no color" versions better than the fully saturated warm versions. Very interesting photo to look at, good job.

    Thank you!
I'm glad I was able to learn a new "step" (or 10 ha ha) in processing photo's too!

    Hi Kori,

    Good stuff

I think that the colours are fine - the bit that stands out to me though is that the rocks are too contrasty (I think I added a curves layer to raise their tones slightly -- may have forgotten to mention that!

Okay - now you tell me! Ha ha!
It's okay! I don't know if I will have another play with this...maybe on some rainy cold day when I want to "play" some more! I feel I need to move on to another picture.
Thanks for another learning curve! (not fully understanding curves yet, will need to read up on that darn word!)

Fill light would do the same thing, although I don't know if you have that tool?

Just remember that images are never ever finished - they just get abandoned by their owners at some point!

I have fill flash: strength and saturation.

    Good point, very true!
