I am an expert on what I like and I like the first one. It's a bit out of the norm for flower shots and you did it well. I don't like the second one at all. All mid tones with no emphasis on anything that makes me want to stay longer. Perhaps a different angle or something but this straight-on rose doesn't do it for me personally. Lots of different tastes around though and I'm sure others will think it's just fine.
