Very interesting, Jon. A pity about the background on the second one though. Would it be possible to crop to a different size, perhaps 4 x 5 ratio and crop closer on the sides?

If however, you want them as a pair that could be a problem; but you might get away with a similar crop on that one as well.

Geoff, I was thinking about a pair...and to do so I think I will re-shoot the first one(with camera on tripod) and then replace #1 with #2 face. They are just hanging on nails. That way I will not get the house or other distractions in the background. Will having the same background throw it off??
